At Noble REMC, safety is the standard and customers are the priority!
Noble REMC employees are trained to do their jobs--with their safety, and the safety for the public in mind—always! Employees attend monthly safety meetings and are trained in CPR. Safety is communicated to school children, first responders and the public thru various programs, publications, and social media.
Visit safeelectricity.org for tips and safety advice for staying safe around electricity. There are kids’ games and videos, teacher materials and numerous other resources.
Call before you dig!
Avoid a dangerous and costly situation. Stay safe! Call 811 BEFORE you do any digging near where a power line may be buried.
It’s the law! State law requires that you give two working days notice. Noble REMC is a member of the Indiana Utility Underground Plant Protection Service, also known as Holey Moley! Call 811. If it’s in our service territory, we will locate and mark underground lines for you, for FREE.
Electric safety demonstration
A table–top safety demonstration is presented in elementary schools, for 4-H clubs, and others. Youth are taught to stay away from downed power lines and to pay close attention when flying kites or climbing trees that power lines are not near their play area.
Every few years, a high-line voltage demonstration is offered to first responders, including police officers, firefighters, EMS, and highway personnel.
To schedule a safety presentation for your group, contact Kevin Dreibelbis at 800-933-7362 or email@example.com.
Noble REMC has been nationally recognized for safety performance and has received a Safety Achievement from the National Rural Electric Safety Achievement Program (RESAP) for more than 30 years.
